Big Walk Tower Order & Unlock Guide
Every tower in Big Walk follows the same rule: complete any five puzzles on the island (six for the Black Obelisk) to collect red puzzle rewards, place them in the receiver on the tower rooftop to release the key, run the key through five key cutters to shape it, then insert it into the lock it opens. Because any five puzzles qualify, you can use challenges from other areas if a tower's own puzzles are busy.
Recommended order
| Order | Objective | Puzzles needed | What it unlocks | |---|---|---|---| | 1 | Starting Area | 4 | The red drawbridge into the main island | | 2 | Red Tower | 5 | The Map Room and its island map | | 3 | Green Tower | 5 | The chairlift | | 4 | Yellow Tower | 5 | The tunnel system | | 5 | Blue Tower | 5 | The monorail train | | 6 | Black Obelisk | 6 | The Black Key and the Wall beyond it |
Why this order
- Starting Area first. The four beach-side gourd puzzles teach the core mechanic and lower the drawbridge.
- Red Tower second. Its key opens the Map Room, whose 3D model flags every puzzle location on the island and whose paper map is needed to find far-off challenges like the 4166, 1899 puzzle.
- Green Tower third. The chairlift it unlocks cuts out a lot of walking between the later towers.
- Yellow Tower fourth. The tunnels it opens lead to a secret area and the final radio channel.
- Blue Tower fifth. The monorail gives the fastest way to loop the island in the late game.
- Black Obelisk last. The door opens on its own only after all four colored towers are finished, and its six puzzles gate the ending.
Most community walkthroughs suggest the same sequence, and the AllThings. How progression table matches it: 4 blorbs for the drawbridge, 5 for the Map Room, 5 for the chairlift, 5 for the tunnels, 5 for the monorail, and 6 for the Black Key.
